Forgotten Ancient Hittite City In Historical Armenia

The 3500 years old Hittite sarissa discovered in archaeological excavations in the Altinya region of Sebastia, Historical Armenia, has recorded history and secrets that have not yet been fully revealed – like many other fragments of cultural heritage in Historical Armenia.

The first written agreement between the Hittites and Egyptians was concluded in this ancient city, one of the largest Hittite cities in Historical Armenia. Judging by cuneiform inscriptions, the kings of this ancient city have held religious holidays. It is also believed that the temple of the city was built in 1525 BC.
