As a result of archaeological excavations in Byurakn, Historical Armenia, 3000 years old wheat seeds were found.
Excavations on the Norik hill, Solkhan, Byurakn Province (Bingöl) have been ongoing since 2018.
A group of 158 archaeologists led by Zia Kilichi, the director of the Kharberd Museum, has discovered numerous items dating to the times of the Kingdom of Van and the Byzantine Empire, including the 3,000-year-old wheat seeds. To determine the type of wheat, the seeds were sent to a laboratory in the US.
