A large number of human skulls and bones were found in a cave in the Dargeçit district, Mardin Province, in Historical Armenia.
It is reported that a citizen named Irfan Yakut went to the cave in search of treasure and discovered fragments of skulls and bones. As a result of exploratory research in the cave, traces and buildings of ancient times were unearthed along with 35-40 skulls and numerous bones.
Details of the case were transferred to the regional department of culture and tourism. The prosecutor’s office is investigating it as well.
