Antique Armenian Karabagh rug from 1860-1870s

A beautiful array of colors. These compartmentalized rugs were Armenian designs. Its main border with large Crosses is absurdly called a “Crab border” in the trade to deny Armenian provenance.

Also includes an inner minor quinones (dice 5) border common on Armenian rugs. Plus plenty of cross rosettes and cross variations throughout the rug. Runner size 8″ x 4″
