The ancient (Grabar) Armenian word Dur means door. In Armenian, the word is dhur from the root of the word dheur. In Greek θυρα, Old Breton, korn – dor, ancient German turi, Lithuanian durìs, Old Slavic dveri “door” in English door.
Parpetsi compared the door with a “servant”, Yeghishe with “deep chambers”, Buzand with a “passage in the rocks”, etc.
