Russian rock musician Stas Namin presented his idea to make a film about Armenia: “Since childhood, Armenia has been a magical country for me. My mother used to say this all the time. And my grandfather and his brothers were born in a distant mountain village with a beautiful romantic name ‘Sanahin.’
With Armenia is connected the life of all my relatives. And it turned out that I myself am an Armenian, which for quite some time didn’t cross my mind since I was born and raised in Moscow”
Even as a child, Namin has many times visited his historical homeland, but these have been occasional visits. Only a few years ago, at the invitation of his friend, businessman, and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan, Namin arrived Armenia with a long visit.
In Armenia, Namin paid a visit to many picturesque places, saw famous historical monuments and numerous ancient temples, and filmed it all on camera. As a result, his film appeared, which, in fact, is a kind of appeal by the rocker to his historical and cultural roots.
Famous musician Stas Namin is the grandson of the Soviet party leader Anastas Mikoyan and the cousin grandson of the legendary Soviet aircraft designer Artem Mikoyan, the creator of the MiG fighter.
