Tevan Stepanyan is one of those heroes of the Armenian people who during the years of Soviet power were branded as enemies or put into oblivion. But today, many, including the fellow countrymen of Tevan, the Karabakh people, are rediscovering the history of their land and are beginning to recognize their heroes.
After Armenia gained independence, people became able to talk and write about previously forbidden topics. Books and films about the leaders of the national liberation struggle of the Armenian people began to be published.
In particular, the Yerevan TV company “Yerkir Media” released the documentary “Tevan. Legend and reality.” This documentary probably will not leave our compatriots indifferent.
