The Armenian traders made use of the English fleet services

There is evidence showing that the Armenian traders of Iran while carrying on their trade in the Persian Gulf and the western Indian Ocean made use of most of the English fleet services, though they had their ships too.

It is interesting that in the absence of statehood and the lack of a national flag, the Armenian ship-owners created their red-yellow-red color flag with a lamb embossed on it.
