At the first anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Armenia (May 28, 1919), the Council of Armenia proclaimed the United Armenia, which symbolically put an end to the artificial separation of the two parts of Armenia (“Eastern” and “Western”) by foreign invaders.
In honor of this, a festive parade and a solemn ceremony took place in Yerevan. Armenians from different regions (from Cilicia and Lesser Armenia to Artsakh) participated in the procession with posters of United Armenia.
