The video below (in Armenian) tells about the Soviet campaign against the Armenian alphabet during the Sovietization of Armenia as part of a broader campaign against the Armenian culture, history, and the church.
Apart from that, the anti-alphabet campaign was part of the latinisation campaign which was aimed at replacing the writing systems of all languages in the Soviet Union with Latin-based script.
We should note the obvious parallels with what is happening right now. The current government of Armenia pursues an identical policy of attacks on the Armenian language, culture, history, and religion, which once again points to the Turkish-Bolshevik roots of the current puppet government of Armenia.
