Alain Prost is a French racer of Armenian origin. Four-time F1 Champion. Prost, along with Juan Manuel Funchio and Michael Schumacher, is one of the most titled racers in F-1 history.
His confrontation with Aitor Senna is considered one of the most violent and intriguing in the racing world. Michael Schumacher only in the early 2000s broke numerous records set by Prost.
Alain Marie Pascal Prost was born on February 24, 1955 in France, near the city of Saint-Chamon in the family of Andre Prost and Marie-Rose Karachian.
“My mother is Armenian, we spent all our childhood with my grandfather, who told us different stories about Armenia. When you are only 10 years old, these are just stories.
You understand their true meaning a little later. Today, these stories are an integral part of my life. I do not speak Armenian, but I am Armenian, and that’s the most important thing,” the racer himself said in an interview.
In March 2007, he was awarded the Armenian Caesar, which is considered the highest award of the Armenian community in France. Today Prost is one of the most bright and active representatives of the Armenian diaspora.
