Miriam Fares was born in the village of Kfar Shlel in South Lebanon. From childhood, she studied ballet, and at the age of 9, she won a competition on Lebanese television in oriental dances. She studied at the National Academy of Music.
At the age of 16, she won the Lebanese song festival, and at the age of 17, she won the first prize at the Studio Fan 2000 competition. In 2003, she signed a contract with Music Master International and released her first album, Myriam.
The song from this album “Ana Wel Shouk” became a hit on radio and television in the country, and for her video clip “La Tis’alni” Miriam Fares received the Best Young Artist Award in Egypt.
Miriam Fares released her second album Nadini in 2005 and her third album Bet’oul Eih in 2008. In 2008, she starred in commercials for Sunsilk shampoo and Freshlook contact lenses. In 2009, she starred in her first film Silina.
On September 1, 2011, Min Oyouni released her fourth album. The album was produced by her own company, Myriam Music.
In 2014, she began filming in the drama series Ettiham (The Accusation). In August 2014, she married a Lebanese from the United States, Danny Mitira, after 10 years of relationship.
The couple spent their honeymoon on the island of Porto-Vecchio, France. The couple has a son – Jayden Mitir (born 02/06/2016). In January 2015, Miriam released her fifth album, Aman.
The singer is a Christian and one of the few celebrities in the Arab world who openly celebrate Easter.
