The Book “Forty Days Of Musa Dagh” Translated Into Latvian

In October 2020, the Armenian Embassy in Riga, Latvia, will organize the presentation of Franz Werfel’s book “The Forty Days of Musa Dagh” translated into Latvian.

As reported by “Armenpress”, Armenian Ambassador to Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia Tigran Mkrtchyan announced the presentation on his Facebook page. The ambassador stressed that “The Forty Days of Musa Dagh” is a must-read book for anyone.

The translation of the novel was published by the “Janis Roze” publishing house. The project was implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia and the Government of Austria. The translation was done by Ilze Paegle-Mkrtchyan.

The novel “The Forty Days of Musa Dagh” by Austrian author Franz Werfel presents the heroic resistance of the Armenians of Musa Dagh to the Turks in 1915.

The book has been universally acclaimed by foreign readers, and it has been translated into a number of languages.
