Three Vivid Films About Armenia

We present to you three very vivid films about the Armenian church and serf architecture, as well as the beautiful nature of the surrounding ancient temples and fortresses.

The first film is about the monastery of Tatev. Tatev Monastery (Armenian: Տաթևի վանք) is an Armenian monastery complex of the late 9th – early 10th centuries located in the Syunik province of Armenia, 20 km from the city of Goris. For centuries, it has been the spiritual center of Syunik.

Tatev is a part of a large tourist complex, which also includes the hermitage of hermits of Tatevi Anapat monastery, the Wings of Tatev cableway – the longest non-stop double-track cableway in the world – the natural bridge and cave of Satani Kamurj, and many other attractions. In 1995, the Tatev Monastery was added to the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The second film is about the fortress of Amberd. Amberd (Armenian Ամբերդ) is a historical complex situated on the slope of Mount Aragats consisting of a 7th-century castle and an 11th-century church. It is located at an altitude of 2300 meters.

The third film is about the monastery of Saghmosavank. Saghmosavank Monastery (Armenian: Սաղմոսավանք) is located on the eastern outskirts of the village of Saghmosavan, Aragatsotn Province. Historically, it was located in the Aragatsotn district in the Ayrarat Province of Greater Armenia.

The films were produced by WildekStudio.
