Azerbaijan destroyed statues in Shushi park

Artsakh Foundation will take steps to punish Azerbaijan for destroying statues in Shushi Park. Artsakh Foundation orders the figures to be returned to Armenia if they have not been destroyed by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan Deforms Sculpture Park of Shushi’s Museum of Fine Arts

Satellite imagery shows that between April 10 and June 5, the 51 sculptures in the park of the Shushi Museum of Fine Arts were removed and the area completely cleared. CHW is concerned about the condition of these artworks, which are the property of that museum. 1/4

The sculptures are authored by Isahak Apreyan, Robert Askaryan, Vighen Avetis, Maya Avagyan, Ara Badalyan, Bagrat Balabekyan, Luca Calo, Valter Černeka, Milija Čpajak, Giuseppe Giovanni Del Debbio, Antonio Di Tommaso, Manjun Gao, Hayk Hakobyan, Mihran Hakobyan, Spartak Harutyunyan, Kurkik Jalali, Anania Kocharyan, Agostino & Massimo Lippi, Arnold Meliksetyan, Kanta Kishore Moharana, Gor Nadoyan, Stefania Palumbo, Chander Parkash, Luciano Preti, Francesco Roviello, Koryun Sahnahetsi, Davit Sargsyan, Kumiko Suzuki, Nikola Tesla, Manuela Traini, Craig Usher, Ashot Yeritsyan.

The photo of the park was taken by journalist Emmanuel Grynszpan in December. He was the first foreign journalist allowed to visit the city after Azerbaijan captured it.
