The Right of the Armenian People To Live Freely In Their Homeland – The Lisbon Five

“You know what we do. The freedom-loving Armenian youth decided not to sit back. We all lost, so we decided to burst this building into the air and stay under it.

This is not suicide or madness but a supreme donation to the liberation struggle. Let the world community call us adventurers, terrorists, or executioners, it is fine.

We decided to resort to force because the Turkish state and other countries protecting it neglect the rights of the Armenian people. For decades, the Armenian people have been waiting for the international court to resolve the Armenian issue.

For the acquisition of self-determination of our people, the only way out is armed struggle. To live and develop in the free and independent homeland of their ancestors is the right of the Armenian people.”
