Russian State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov said that after visiting Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), he received threatening messages from Azerbaijanis on social networks. In an interview with the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, the deputy said that he and his family members had received death threats.
“Serious threats started coming in through Messenger,” Milonov said, “The threats are aimed at me and my children… They placed me on the blacklist of Azerbaijan. This is a confrontation, and I consider it normal. However, it is unacceptable that these people in Azerbaijan make a statement in relation to me, my children, and my family. This is impudence. Of course, I won’t let this slide.”
As a reminder, Russian MP Vitaly Milonov, a member of the United Russia parliamentary faction, visited Artsakh on October 16 and met President Arayik Harutyunyan and Speaker of the Parliament Artur Tovmasyan. In one of his press statements, Milonov answered the question of why the world was silent about Karabakh: “Everyone was silent when Judas betrayed Jesus.”
