Steven Kandarian – CEO of MetLife and One of the Most Influential Armenians in the World

The president and CEO of one of the most important structures of the United States – pension and insurance provider MetLife, Inc. – is Armenian Steven Kandarian.

Kandarian became the SEO of MetLife in 2005. During the financial crisis of 2007-2008, he not only saved MetLife from collapsing – which happened to numerous similar holdings – but also brought it to leading positions, “killing” all its competitors in the market.

It is very difficult to overestimate the role of the insurance system of the United States. It is one of the cornerstones of the country. Today, MetLife’s assets are valued at over $1 trillion, making the holding one of the largest insurance providers in the world.

The company is well represented on the world market and occupies leading positions in all continents. In Russia, MetLife has 800 representative offices.

Steven Kandarian has been included in various rankings as one of the most successful and wealthy businessmen in the world. His exact net worth is unknown, however. According to unofficial estimates by Business Pundit magazine, Kandarian’s net worth is estimated at $25 billion.

Steven Kandarian annually donates a significant share of his funds to charity. In particular, he finances the funds of Armenians of America.
