Unique Two-Volume Work On The Armenian Genocide Published In The US – The New York Times

In the United States, the two-volume work “Armenian Genocide: the Beginning and Consequences” has been published, presenting hundreds of publications by the authoritative American newspaper “The New York Times” on the Genocide since the end of the 19th century.

Articles and informational materials included in this work tell about the black pages of the history of the Armenian people, at the same time providing the reader with a complete picture of the Ottoman authorities’ targeted policy to destroy the Christian nation.

The materials presented in the books can be divided into three main chronological portions – mass killings of Armenians in 1894-1896 (Hamidian massacres); massacres in Adana and the 1915 Genocide; and the continuation of the policy of extermination of Armenians in the early 1920s.

Researchers Ara Ketibian and member of the Mekhitarist Order Archimandrite Vahan Ohanian are the authors of the two volumes published by “The New York Times Publishing House”. The work on the books has lasted about 12 years.

Currently, the authors of the project are working on similar books incorporating materials and articles published at the beginning of the 20th century in such American publications as “The Boston Daily Globe”, “The Chicago Tribune”, “The Los Angeles Times”, “The Washington Post”, and others.
