Navy of the First Republic of Armenia

A year after the proclamation of the First Republic of Armenia, in May 1919, the first naval fleet of the republic was formed in Sevan.

What was the danger for the southeastern coast of Sevan, because of what was the Sevan fleet formed? Where are our first combat ships “Ashot Yerkat”, “Ksyusha” and others now?

What was the name of the ship “Albatross” in fact in Kostan Zaryan’s novel “The Ship on the Rock”, how did it become “Geganush”, and then “Lukashin”, and what was his fate?

Reports of Doctor of Historical Sciences Amatuni Virabyan.
