Procopius about the Armenians

Procopius, a 6th century historiographer, wrote:

“… Until 474, the Roman emperors, when selecting their bodyguards, taking into account the dignity of the people, gave preference to the Armenians!

Armenians are the only people who bequeaths their souls to God, their hearts to their families, and their bodies to their Motherland! Armenians are the people for whom love and creation are the meaning of life.

Armenians are the people for whom war is a time for unification, and peace is a time for creation! “
