October 30, 2020, marks the 145th anniversary of the birth of our great poet Avetik Isahakyan.
On October 21, the House-Museum of Avetik Isahakyan in Yerevan will host a two-day anniversary conference dedicated to the creative heritage and the path of the great poet.
Anzhela Khorenyan, director of the Avetik Isahakyan House-Museum, emphasizes that during this year, during the pandemic, the museum staff had many programs that were implemented gradually (with the anniversary events in mind, of course).
The house-museum was opened to visitors after the decision of the commandant’s office. But according to the museum director, the staff had also been working online before the decision.
On September 12 at 20:00, the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia commenced a concert in the park of the Komitas Chamber Music House, marking the beginning of the concert season for 2020-2021.
During the open-air concert, the State Chamber Orchestra of Armenia (artistic director, chief conductor Vahan Martirosyan) presented works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Antonin Dvořák, and Giuseppe Tartini.
By the way, young violinist Ovsanna Harutyunyan joined the orchestra during the performance of the Tartini violin sonata in minor.
