Levon Ishtoyan: “We played like Barcelona”!

On September 3, the famous striker of the legendary Ararat-73 Levon Ishtoyan turns 75. A student of Leninakan football school at 18 played for Shirak, and three years later was in the main team of the republic.

In Ararat Ishtoyan played 7 years (1968-1975), scoring 28 goals in 196 matches. The most important of them came to the final of the 1973 USSR Cup against Dynamo Kyiv.

Average growth forward (176 cm) a minute before the end of the main time returned hope to the Armenian people, and in the extra time made Armenians all over the world rejoice.
