The below documentary tells about the Gagkashen Church built in the medieval Armenian city of Ani, which has been occupied by Turkey since 1920.
The film covers the establishment of the church, as well as the process of its tragic collapse, all modeled in 3D.
Gagkashen Church is an attempt to recreate the Temple of Zvartnots, which by the time of the church’s construction had already been ruined. The construction of the church commenced by the order of King Gagik and was carried out by architect Trdat. It took decades for the church to be completed.
