Plácido Domingo Refuses To Perform On Stage With Azerbaijani Tenor Yusif Eyvazov

The concert at the Bolshoi Theater scheduled for October 24 with the participation of Plácido Domingo, Yusif Eyvazov, and Anna Netrebko may be canceled.

At the moment, negotiations are underway to rework the program since Maestro Plácido Domingo expressed a desire to reduce the participation of the Netrebko couple in the gala concert.

In addition, at the request of the Domingo team, Yusif Eyvazov was removed from the role of Chevalier des Grieux in the “Manon Lescaut” opera, which will be staged on October 21 at the Bolshoi Theater.

In addition, the Bolshoi Theater strongly discouraged Yusif Eyvazov from mixing personal motives with the Temple of Art and generally from interfering in politics.
