Bas-relief of the Church of the Holy Mother of God – Tayk – Historical Armenia

The historic Armenian Church of the Holy Mother of God is located in the village of Ishkhan in the Tayk region of Greater Armenia, at the confluence of the Tortum and Olti rivers.

The Church of the Holy Mother of God was built in the 7th century by Catholicos Nerses III – Tayetsi, who was born in the village of Ishkhan.
