According to the report of the newspaper Dünya Ekonomi, the conflict between Saudi Arabia and Turkey is growing. After Riyadh, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Algeria have also taken steps and raised taxes on goods from Turkey.
Turkish goods are in customs warehouses, and consumers are encouraged not to purchase them.
It should be noted that leading firms took part in the unofficial embargo. World Newspaper journalist Kerim Ulker noted the following:
“Saudi Arabia-based Abdullah Al-Othaim Markets, one of the three major retailers in the Middle East, has announced that it will not buy Turkish-made products for political reasons.
It was announced that local suppliers will stop trading Turkish goods in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.”
