“Armenians Of Iran” – Exhibition In Tehran

An Iranian-Armenian exhibition “Armenians of Iran” has opened in Tehran, showcasing various exhibits in the form of photos, sculptures, and other forms of art. According to the “Payvand” news agency, the exhibition is taking place at the Mehrsun Gallery.

As “Armenpress” reports, the exhibition features the works of artists of the Armenian community of Iran – stamps, photos, sculptures, as well as the biographies and activities of prominent musicians and representatives of the performing arts of the Armenian community and their role in the development of Iranian art.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran Artashes Tumanyan, Head of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran Archbishop Sepuh Sargsyan, Director of the Iranian Museum of Music Ali Moradhani, and President of the Union of Iranian Artists Majid Rajabi Memari were present at the opening.

The exhibition presents the works of Edman Ayvazyan, Zaven Ayvazyan, Simon Ayvazyan, Razmik Ohanyan, Adik Baghosyan, Albert Bigjyan, Lilit Teryan, Goris Ter-Hakobyan, Smbat Ter-Kayregyan, Yervand Nakhapetyan, and many others.

The exhibition “Armenians of Iran” was organized thanks to the cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iran, the Armenian community of Iran, the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Tehran, and the Manukyan Museum.
