The Golden Hall (Swedish: Gyllene Salen) is a banqueting hall in Stockholm City Hall, decorated by gold-plated mosaics created by the artist Einar Forseth.
This city goddess of Stockholm in his design covers one full wall and reminds me of the ancient city goddesses of ancient times, all with the same divine purpose of serving as the protective deity of the city.
Coins of many Hellenistic cities as well as Antioch and the Armenian capital Artashat (which I am showing here) featured their city goddess on their ancient coins. The silver coins of Tigran great feature the city goddess Tyche which means good fortune.
