The modern name for the site in Cilicia is called “Catioren”. Some Jewish archaeologists claim the temple was a Synagogue.
The Greeks claim it was the temple of Hermes. Because a great proportion of both Jewish and Greek history was invented during the Renaissance period (When the last Armenian Kingdom fell), I would say the temple was built by Cilician Armenians.
