
The film “Armenian Bread” by Armen Gasparyan was presented at the documentary competition of the XVI International Festival “Radonezh” with the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Cooperation) in Armenia in December 2011.
The film tells about the culture and values of the Armenian people. For centuries, Armenians, having no statehood, have managed to preserve their language and faith thanks to their unique national and religious identity.
In September 2011, the film participated in the seventh International Catholic Festival of Christian films and television programs “Magnifikat” in Belarus. It was awarded the jury prize “For Professionalism in Disclosing Patients of National History”, as well as a special prize from the Apostolic Visitor of the Belarusian Greek Catholic Church “For Deep film testimony about the bravery and faith of Armenian Christians during the 1915 Genocide.”
In November 2011, the film took part in the Eighth International Charitable Film Festival “Radiant Angel.” “Armenian Bread“, as we mentioned above, was presented at the documentary film competition of the XVI International Festival “Radonezh” and was awarded the silver medal of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the nomination “Best Cinematography” (operator – Gagik Harutyunyan).
