Nicolas Aznavour Moves to Live in Armenia

Nicolas Aznavour Moves to Live in ArmeniaLast, year, the house-museum of Charles Aznavour was opened at the Yerevan Cascade. Nicolas Aznavour, the son of the legendary singer, now seeks to fulfill the wish of his father. Back in 2017, he shared his ideas.

“This idea came to my father many years ago, and we thought about it together. His desire was to share the most precious things he had – the French language, music, and films – with the people.

Let me quote the President of France Emmanuel Macron: ‘The French culture will shine in Armenia in the center of Aznavour.’

Visitors of the center will be greeted by the voice of my father who will introduce them to the most important stages of his life, starting from the emigration of his parents to his victory on the stage.

The center will also be a territory of educational and cultural exchange. In particular, we will offer a method of learning French based on the texts of the works of my father. The concept of the center will be presented on October 11 during the 17th Francophonie Summit in Yerevan.

I went back to my roots, I began to study the Armenian language, I realized that I needed to be baptized here (in the Tatev Monastery).”
