Spanish American director Artur Balder’s documentary “American Mirror” could be soon premiered in Armenia. Armenian American artist Tigran Tsitoghdzyan and Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon participated in the creation of the film.
Tsitoghdzyan said that the producers plan to present the film on a number of festivals. Although there still isn’t an Armenian premier date for the documentary, the authors plan to bring it to Yerevan someday.
A month or so ago, Tsitoghdzyan posted the documentary’s trailer: “Dear friends! I’m super mega excited to reveal the “American Mirror”, the documentary that we have been working on for the last couple of years.” Tsitoghdzyan also shared the film’s website www.tigransmovie.com.
“American Mirror” touches upon the themes of feminine beauty, as well as the human perception of beauty in general. The film also shows how Tsitoghdzyan creates his paintings. In particular, the documentary features his works on a painting series named “Mirrors”. The topics of the film are revealed not only through creative process but dialogs as well.
